Modelling Kinetics of Extruded Fish Feeds in a Continuous Belt Dryer

Feed is the major inputs in aquaculture production which affects development growth of African continent. Extruded fish feeds are dried to desire moisture content increase shelf life. Conventional method drying had gained attention recently Nigeria order reduce high cost producing feeds. However, this still grossly underutilized. Extrude floating feed was using continuous belt dryer at air temperature from 60°C 100°C an interval 10°C, velocity for 0.8 m s-1 1.0 0.1 a constant linear speed 50 s-1. Various contents gotten different conditions were changed ratio extrudates so as obtain curves by plotting against time. The behaviour determined fixing with five well known models. Model determination coefficient and low reduced chi-square, standard error, value least square deviation error (SEE) used best model. Midilli et al model found suitable describing extruded during drying. discovered have influence on kinetics based experiment.
